The Home Child-Care Provider Pilot is an economic pilot program targeted to foreign national caregivers who
- have a job offer or Canadian work experience in an
eligible caregiver occupation - meet minimum education and language proficiency
requirements (at least benchmark level 5)
How This Program Works
This program is open to applicants with the following job titles:
- Babysitter;
- Au pair;
- Child care live-in-caregiver;
- Child care provider – private home;
- Nanny;
- Parent’s helper;
- Foster parent;
- Babysitter – fitness centre; and
- Babysitter – shopping centre.
The applicant must provide evidence that they have either of the following completed items
- Canadian one-year post-secondary (or higher) educational credential
- foreign educational credential and an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report issued by an organization designated by IRCC
